CD Player

This remains identical to the CD Player available with Windows 95. It enables you to listen to audio compact discs on the CD-ROM drive of your computer. You can listen by either using a set of headphones plugged straight into the jack of the CD drive, or if your PC has a sound card installed you can listen through its speakers. Many of the controls used resemble those you would typically find on your CD player at home. The View menu enables you to customise how the interface appears. Clicking on any of the choices either reveals, or hides the described choice according to its current status. From the Options menu you can set the player up for continuous play, or to play the tracks in a random order. You can also determine whether to play an intro of each track and the length of this intro can be set via the Options/Preferences command. The Disc/Edit Play List command enables you to program which tracks to play and in which order. You can also store the track titles of your CD via this command.
